Shaun Best
I am a writer from Chester, specialising in the sport, travel and fiction genres.
NCTJ trained, I cut my teeth at the local paper before swapping the broadsheets for the (virtual) bookshelves.
In between travelling the UK to watch football in far flung places, I co-ordinate a community writing group and participate in spoken word events.
Away from writing, I dabble in amateur photography, support local comedians and enjoy a hike around the Peak District.
And the most important point - pineapple has no place on a pizza.

JOURNEY THROUGH THE CYMRU LEAGUES
Forget lockdown tears and get acquainted with Welsh football tiers.
Ground hopper Shaun Best crosses over the Welsh border to take a deep dive into the new domestic pyramid.
From licensing to ground grading to a fractured railway network, Shaun ropes in friends old and new to travel along the North Wales Coast and Mid-Wales to sample the national and regional league structures.
Affordable football, fish and chips amid stunning scenery take priority over VAR or foreign investors.
From Holyhead to Guilsfield, Penrhyncoch to Bangor and many more in between, come and join Shaun as he regales two years of Cymru football tales.
Twists & turns
Behind every picture lies a story. This compilation of shorts features a diverse array of tales, each crafted to deliver a surprising and thought provoking twist at the end.
Teddy bears, ferris wheels, school reunions and blind dates all see a multitude of characters meet different fates.
